Our Christmas

I still had a secret Kyle didn't know about, the hotel Christmas, and he was about to find out. When we were waiting in line for a cab, I pulled out the room key that was in an envelope and gave it to him. He was very confused but I said just be patient. After dealing with out stupid cabbie we made it to the hotel. I didn't need to check in since I already had. I was do excited in the elevator I still couldn't contain myself I wanted to show him his surprise so badly! Once we got to the room he saw the sign on the door and I explained that since he couldn't be here for Christmas, I made it for us! He loved everything! I showed him around the whole place and everything that I had done.

The first thing he wanted to do was to have me open my present but I told him to wait. He wanted to take it out of his suitcase at the airport an have me open it he was so excited! I said we needed to eat first then gifts. So he unpacked a little, put my gifts under the tree and hung my stocking while I prepared dinner. Loaded baked potato soup with a strawberry mango sangria. It was so good we were stuffed! We had cookies and caramel for dessert.

Yes, now we get to open our gifts. We had so much fun and even after a log day for the both of us were still super giddy and exited about everything. Kyle really spoiled me. I was so surprised to open my presets, he did so good.

We decided to start a new tradition this year, to give each other stockings. These will be our stockings for some time to come I'm sure but it was super fun putting them together! Kyle found mine online and had it embroidered with my name on it, so cute! The second I saw it I was so excited I jumped up and down!!
I wanted to make his stocking since I couldnt find one to buy that was just right for him. I found a navy blue stocking and had been collecting Navy ornaments to decorate it with like the anchor patches and some old vintage Navy buttons I had found downtown.

After our stockings, Kyle couldn't wait any more and had me open my Christmas present. He was so excited he couldn't contain himself. And after I opened it I couldn't contain my excitement!
Finally opening my present that Kyle had been anxiously waiting for me to do. I was so surprised!

Brand new UGG boots with bows on them!! How freaking perfect for me?!

We were both pretty exhausted after our long days we each had. So after presents we cuddled up and flipped through the tv to find a movie and eventually just fell asleep.

Merry Christmas. So far, the best yet.

We left the hotel at the Neapolitan time of 10ish or 11ish and headed back to the town to find some breakfast. We parked in another paid parking lot so Kyle was happy. After breakfast we looked in a couple of shops after to see if we could find a ravioli cutter but still no luck. So weird. It was so nice out again, such good luck with the weather. We found another cute look out area that was apart of the "public gardens" we found in the guidebook at the hotel. It was just a little area with benches and the look out, not many flowers or garden like things.  When we were walking back to the car we saw this sign on a wood shop and I had to take a photo for dad. I thought it was so clever! Still on a mission for a ravioli cutter we headed towards Pozzuoli to try and go to their "Costco-Like" or "Walmart-Like" stores they have. Boston, MA + Sam Adams Brewery (by Kyle)

2 January 2013 Boston, MA and Newport, RI This is Kyle again, I have returned to write another blog about my trip to the East Coast.  Laura and I had an awesome time on New Years and New Years day.  We woke up early this morning in preparation for our trip to Boston and rushed to Kinkos so we could print our bus tickets.  We hauled our stuff quickly to Chinatown and hopped on the Fung-Wah bus.  Laura and I slept on and off throughout the ride and finally arrived in Boston 4 hours later.  We quickly departed the bus station and headed directly to the Sam Adam's brewery. On the way we saw Kady's street! We got there just in time for the tasting session of their final tour of the day!  The beer was so fresh and amazing!  We met up with some of Laura's friends who were also in Boston (the same ones we met up with on New Year's Eve-Day). 2 more days!

I feel so completely overwhelmed right now. At this moment in time I have pretty much seen everyone and said all my good byes. Its been a rough week knowing that when I do get back from Italy, I may not have time to see some of the people I've seen this week. But at the same time I can't even freaking wait to get on that plane and head out of the country! Pretty much tomorrow is my last day for me to do anything and EVERYTHING! I do have quite the list of things I need to double check and finish tomorrow before I take off on Tuesday, seeing how I won't have any time to do it that day. I went to get my nails done and had dinner with the girls tonight, minus Natalie :( poor girl. But Ash did show up for dinner so that was nice and it was a good send off after spending the rest of the night with my second family. They will be missed most definitely but it is good preparation for my move, which I don't even want to think about. Ugh this craziness needs to die down soon! ...
