Mae Abroad

Kyle lives in Pozzuoli  (pōt-swō'lē)  Italy, which is right outside of Naples. I slept till about noon today, the timezone really hit me. Kyle had to work today thanks to someone at work :( But I guess it was good because I got to catch up on my sleep then I unpacked my suitcase into the wardrobe he had for me.  My wardrobe for the next three weeks. It was easier than going out, plus we got to have dinner on the balcony and watch the sunset. The weather was perfect tonight! It was so hot out earlier today it felt good to sit outside and enjoy the evening. ♥   Mae

This is the last night I'll spend in my bed! Tomorrow night I'll be sleeping on a plane for 11+ hours and then the night after that will be the start of my nights of sleep in Italy! It has been quite the intense week with preparing as well as seeing people before I leave. I just saw the whole LCAD gang again one last time tonight which was was awesome! Soooo good seeing Dana too =) I think I'm all packed and ready! Well I know I'm ready that's for sure but as for packed, well we shall see once I get there what I forgot! I did have to pack a carry on which I was trying to avoid. It seems like I will be carrying all this onto the plane with me! Yay!! That's what I get for packing my suitcase over 50lbs oh well. ♥   Mae

I feel so completely overwhelmed right now. At this moment in time I have pretty much seen everyone and said all my good byes. Its been a rough week knowing that when I do get back from Italy, I may not have time to see some of the people I've seen this week. But at the same time I can't even freaking wait to get on that plane and head out of the country! Pretty much tomorrow is my last day for me to do anything and EVERYTHING! I do have quite the list of things I need to double check and finish tomorrow before I take off on Tuesday, seeing how I won't have any time to do it that day. I went to get my nails done and had dinner with the girls tonight, minus Natalie :( poor girl. But Ash did show up for dinner so that was nice and it was a good send off after spending the rest of the night with my second family. They will be missed most definitely but it is good preparation for my move, which I don't even want to think about. Ugh this craziness needs to die down soon! ...

Only 10 days left! So much has happened since I started this blog. I've decided that there are at least 5 places that I must see while I'm overseas. 1. Pompeii 2. Amalfi Coast 3. Capri 4. Rome 5. Wine Tasting (not a place I know but something I must do still!) Apparently this list is very doable because when I told Kyle he was on it instantly and we are making plans for these things to happen! So excited! ♥   Mae

I have just acquired many travel books on Italy all thanks to my mother and Christine! I do have to say, the ones mom gave me are most definitely the best, seeing how the copyright is from 1971!! Its all planning now and I'm still super anxious to leave! ♥   Mae

This is going to take a while. What the hell do you pack for a 20 day trip? Everything!! Why yes please. Poor Kyle has no idea what he just got himself into. Behold, my first attempt to pack my life into my favorite red suitcase!! ♥   Mae

I want to say that I was like a kid the day before Disneyland after Kyle told me the flight was booked and that Orbitz was down, but seeing how Disneyland was an every month/day/week deal for me growing up I'll have to say that it was like the day before a critique. I didn't sleep the whole night, I kept looking at my computer, checking the clock, trying to do things to make me fall asleep, you know all that good anxiety stuff. I was so anxious to see the email from Orbitz to see the actual dates, times, airlines all the good details of my soon to be exciting adventure!
